Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lakefield is looking for an energetic and outgoing Executive Director/Licensed Nursing Home Administrator!

This person must love working with people and have a desire to be a leader who is willing and excited to embrace our 5 Core values of: Dignity - Professionalism - Humor - Passion & Integrity. We are looking for a person who will exemplify these values and be willing to work hard on behalf of our Residents, their families and Manor team members.
This position will provide the right professional a challenging environment to include being responsible for the day to day operations. The duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Hiring, training, nursing home staff members, from clinical workers to administrative personnel.
• Conducting performance reviews on employees to determine effectiveness and work ethic.
• Meeting with prospective residents to tour the facility and to learn about the services provided.
• Communicating with residents and prospective residents as well as their families.
• Working with clinical staff to create a plan of care for each resident and to oversee residents' progress and condition.
• Advocating for residents so they receive the standard of care they deserve.
• Instituting policies, rules, and procedures for the facility to protect everyone involved and to comply with governmental regulations.
• Establishing and adhering to a budget for the facility and allocating funds to specific departments or expenses as needed.
• Overseeing the billing of residents for services rendered.
• Managing janitorial and support staff to ensure the facility remains clean and well-run.
• Leading teams in the nursing home to ensure all staff members meet goals and fulfill residents' expectations.
• Deciding when to send residents to other health care facilities, such as hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
• Overseeing the transportation of residents to other facilities or locations.
• Serving as an agent of change to ensure the site evolves with the times.
• Upgrading equipment and technology in the facility to reflect the changing needs of its residents.
• Making presentations to the nursing home's board of directors or other executive team.
• Brainstorming solutions for financial or practical problems that arise during the facility's operation.
• Providing regular safety training for all personnel.
• Helping families cope with their loved one's condition and progress.
• Coordinating visits from other health care professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists.
• Scheduling social or physical activities for residents based on their abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a current Minnesota LNHA Certification
• Experience in performance management and effective leadership
• Proven leadership & management skills
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding resident & proprietary information
• Ability to relate professionally & work cooperatively with residents & staff at all levels

Cook Job Responsibilities

*Responsible for maintaining a safe & clean environment by adhering to regulations.
*Cook is in charge of kitchen management in absence of dietary manager
*Oversee dietary aide and help to maintain time management

Dietary Aide Job Responsibilities
*Assist cook with duties, prepping, pulling, cleaning
*Serve beverages and meals at meal times
*Responsible for ensuring dining room cleanliness
*Must demonstrate personal hygiene standards to prevent contamination of food.
*Ability to work as a team member and treat job with a sense of responsibility.
*Monitor inventory

Nursing Assistants

Job Description
The position provides quality, direct resident care in all activities of daily living including; dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, walking and positioning. The Nursing Assistant provides individualized physical, psychological and social support to residents while maintaining dignity and achieving their optimal level of functioning. The Nursing Assistant interacts with family, visitors and other health care providers while implementing the plan of care for residents.

Qualifications
Must successfully complete the course and competency test and get on the Minnesota Registry within four (4) months from the date of hire. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to take written and verbal instruction from supervisors. Must be able to communicate with residents visitors and staff. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services
